The Modo Yoga project is a beautiful reflection of the thoughtfulness that comes from a collaborative partnership between an Architect, Commercial Interior Designer and Business Owner.
m+ Architecture | Interior Design focused the design intent on creating an open and inviting yoga studio that feels comfortable and rejuvenating yet features artistic minimalism.
This commercial hot yoga and studio facility project boasts over 3,500 sf. and is located in North Vancouver, BC.
The interior ambiance reflects a welcoming spirit of community and environmental awareness, a core value of Modo Studio.
Architecture of the space is based on accessibility and ease of movement from place to place within the building.
Every detail of this commercial design incorporates the connection between nature’s five elements and Yoga.
Earth. Water. Fire. Air. Space.
The interior design incorporates all custom millwork cabinetry, ceiling wood slats, reclaimed wood cabinet doors and a custom-made barn door.
Also featured in the design are dimmable LED lighting, concrete floors in the common areas and marmoleum flooring in the two hot rooms.
m+ Architecture | Interior Design built-in ample storage units including the custom designed cubbies and shelving.
The interior is comprised of two hot yoga rooms, that together allow for flexible class schedules, two large change rooms, spacious showers and one accessible shower.
A common area that includes a generous front desk space and lounge area is purposed for people to use as a retreat and mingle area for before and after classes.
