Proposed is a ground-oriented coach house, strategically positioned in the backyard, ensuring harmony with the neighborhood’s aesthetics. The design maintains the overall character of the surroundings while introducing a sleek, modern form that complements the primary buildings’ architecture. The massing and roofline are thoughtfully planned to integrate seamlessly into the existing visual landscape, preventing the coach house from overpowering the surroundings. The inclusion of two bedrooms and a well-proportioned living space caters to practical living needs.
The design ensures that the sloped roof does not visually dominate the coach house but is proportionate to the building’s size. Avoidance of roof designs that overly emphasize the upper massing contributes to the overall balanced appearance.
Strategic placement of windows minimizes overlooking concerns towards the main building and neighboring properties. The rear courtyard is viewed as an opportunity to connect the outdoors with the indoors, offering a spacious and private outdoor area. This approach aims to enhance the overall living experience and maintain a respectful relationship with the adjacent properties
